MorningHello Help Center and Knowledge Base – iOS App

What Is MorningHello?
MorningHello is an iPhone app that helps people maintain calm, regular contact with someone close to them without mandatory daily calls or continuous location tracking.
The User regularly opens the App and taps the “I’m Alive” button. If a new check-in is not received within the selected interval, confirmed Emergency Contacts may receive notifications by email and WhatsApp.
MorningHello helps families understand that, as long as no alert has been received, the latest check-in arrived on time.
Who Is MorningHello For?
MorningHello may be helpful for:

  • older parents and grandparents who live separately from their adult children and grandchildren;

  • older adults who live independently;

  • spouses, partners, relatives, and other loved ones living in different cities or countries;

  • people who want to stay connected without feeling constantly monitored;

  • families that want to agree in advance on a simple and clear course of action if contact is unexpectedly lost for an extended period.

Main MorningHello Features
Regular “I’m Alive” Check-In
The User regularly taps the “I’m Alive” button. After the check-in has been transmitted to the server successfully, a new monitoring period begins.
An internet connection is required to submit a check-in. If the server does not receive it, the check-in is not considered successfully transmitted.
24-, 48-, or 72-Hour Interval
The User chooses how often they plan to check in:

  • every 24 hours;

  • every 48 hours;

  • every 72 hours.

Each new check-in successfully received by the server restarts the selected interval.
Emergency Contacts
At least one Emergency Contact must be added for monitoring to operate. A second contact is optional but recommended.
The following information is provided for each contact:

  • first and last name;

  • phone number in international format;

  • email address.

After a contact is added, MorningHello sends an invitation asking the person to confirm their consent to receive notifications. Until the contact provides consent, they do not participate in the alert process.
Alert Notifications
If the server does not receive a new check-in within the selected 24-, 48-, or 72-hour interval, confirmed Emergency Contacts may receive notifications:

  • by email;

  • through WhatsApp.

The notification explains that a new check-in was not received on time and asks the contact to reach out to the User directly.
Repeat alert notifications are not sent during the same monitoring period. A new period begins after the next “I’m Alive” check-in has been transmitted successfully.
No Continuous Location Tracking
MorningHello does not continuously track the User’s location or movements.
An “I’m Alive” check-in confirms only that the User opened the App and successfully transmitted a new check-in to the server. It does not confirm the person’s location, health, or safety.
Emotional Support
Calmness Check-In
The User can rate their current emotional state using a simple scale. The App displays a supportive suggestion based on the selected rating.
This feature is intended for personal reflection and is not a medical or psychological assessment.
Check-In History
The User can review the history of their emotional check-ins and observe how their emotional state has changed over time.
Box Breathing
The App includes a Box Breathing exercise with four equal phases:

  1. inhale;

  2. hold;

  3. exhale;

  4. hold.

Visual animation and optional sound help the User follow the breathing rhythm. The User can turn off the sound or select an available melody.
Box Breathing is a supportive relaxation practice and is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care.
Daily Postcards
After a successful “I’m Alive” check-in, the User receives a new postcard with a kind message.
The postcard may relate to:

  • the current month or season;

  • the day of the week;

  • an international or calendar holiday;

  • the selected religious tradition;

  • the User’s birthday.

Postcards are an additional emotional feature of MorningHello. They do not replace the App’s core check-in and alert system.
Personal Message
Before sharing a postcard, the User can add a short personal message.
The text is entered separately for each postcard, rendered directly into the image, and is not stored in the User’s MorningHello profile.
Sharing and Saving Postcards
The User can:

  • save a postcard to their iPhone;

  • share it through the iOS Share Sheet;

  • select WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Signal, Viber, Mail, or another compatible app installed on the device.

MorningHello does not send postcards automatically. The User decides which postcard to share, who should receive it, and which app should be used.
Birthday Greetings
MorningHello includes a separate collection of birthday postcards.
The User can:

  • select a suitable postcard;

  • use a ready-made greeting;

  • write a personal greeting;

  • save or share the completed postcard through a compatible app.

Holiday Traditions
The User can select postcard categories that reflect their traditions:

  • Orthodox Christian;

  • Catholic;

  • Jewish.

Selected calendars may include religious holidays and fasting periods. Neutral international and seasonal postcards remain available regardless of the selected religious category.
Free Period
A new User receives 30 calendar days of free access after completing onboarding, filling in the profile, and adding the required Emergency Contact.
The free period is available only once.
After it ends, a subscription is required to continue using the main functions.
MorningHello Subscription Plans
The following subscription options are available in 2026:

  • monthly – USD 3.99;

  • three months – USD 9.99;

  • annual – USD 29.99.

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store. The final price, currency, taxes, and availability may vary depending on the country or region of the User’s Apple Account. Before purchase, the price displayed by Apple takes precedence.
